Gigantic W.R. Hearst Penthouse Lists for $38M

h5

Spanning around 7,000 square feet, this incredible NYC penthouse offers seven bedrooms and seven-and-a-half baths, and it was once part of William Randolph Hearst’s impressive early 1900s spread. In the early 20th century, Hearst first leased the top three floors of the building, and then he proceeded to purchase the entire building for $950,000.

The home, since the 1990s, has belonged to real estate mogul and art collector Benedict Silverman. It seems he’s ready to move on from this gigantic mega-home, but we’re sure he’ll miss the double-height foyer, river-view library, south-facing terraces and spacious combo kitchen/family room.
