Manalapan Nirvana[1]

Florida is rapidly becoming one of the most populous states in the country with around 1,000 people relocating to the state each day. In South Florida, an influx of wealth has found its way into cities like Boca Raton and Miami, but no one is talking about the small inlet community just south of Palm Beach with some of the most expensive and exclusive homes in the country: Manalapan.

The hidden gem of Manalapan is located along the Gold Coast of A1A and is one of the hottest real estate spots in the country, where homes are priced upwards of $17 million each. In fact, Gemini, a property on the island, has been recently put on the market for just under $200 million–tying it for the nation’s most expensive listing. The 15.6-acre, 62,220 square-foot-compound stretches the entire width of the island–from ocean to Intracoastal. The enormous mansion boasts two four-bedroom cottages, a seven-bedroom home along with a private golf course and underground tunnel, to name a few.

The area itself is rife with wealth, providing a lifestyle that is both prestigious and unique. The thin width of the inlet provides homes with astounding views of both the Intracoastal and the Atlantic Ocean, which gives properties an extra secure foothold in the market. With recent additions to the area, like the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa, The Atlantis Country Club and La Coquille Club, the community continues to cement itself as one of the premiere locations in the county.

With 500 residents, Manalapan’s most notable individuals include award-winning musician Billy Joel (who owns three homes in the area), self-help author and motivational speaker Anthony Robbins, and CEO of Patrón Spirits Ed Brown. While the city of Manalapan is undersized, the property and lifestyle value is enormous.
