The firm Otis & Ahearn, Inc. was formed when Kevin J. Ahearn, former principal and co-owner of The Hanlan Group, purchased the long-established firm of William F. Otis Real Estate. The Hanlan Group, formed in the 1970’s, was actively involved in the evolution of the Boston condominium market including all the downtown neighborhoods, Back Bay/Beacon Hill, South End, Waterfront/North End, Charlestown and Jamaica Plain. William F. Otis Real Estate served the Back Bay and Beacon Hill since the 1960’s; however, the Otis name in real estate dates back to the 1800’s.
