Janet Linly is the President and CEO of Linly Designs, one of Chicagoland’s leading Interior Design firms. She started her company in 2002, offering elite home renovation & design services. With immense passion and ambition, she opened her first Linly Designs retail location in suburban Chicago, a 1,000 sq. ft. studio offering design services such as kitchen & bath remodeling, custom window treatments, and decorative finishing. Three years later, in a declining economy, Janet astonished the retail world and design industry as she continued to expand her business into a 10,000 sq. ft. premier location. Shortly after the grand opening of the new showroom she was named as one of the top entrepreneurs in the U.S. by the American Chronicle.
In 2014, Janet and her company acquired a high-end Chicago-based table top company. With an established national online audience, the company’s presence in its industry was already one to be reckoned with and with Janet at the helm the business continued to excel. In the summer of 2017, the company was featured on the front cover of one of the top bridal publications, Chicago Bride Magazine. After reaching her goal of owning and running a national online company, Janet decided to sell the business in order to further expand her ever growing home remodeling and design firm Linly Designs, the company she founded, nurtured and continued to steadily grow.
The following year, Janet’s continued growth and success was noticed by St. James’s House, a London-based publishing company with a long history of working with the Royal Family and representatives of government. She received an invitation from the publisher to be a part of their 192-page hardback cocktail table book for Rolls Royce’s 90th Anniversary: Timeless Luxury, Ninety Years of the Phantom, which led to several other exclusive book features.
Shortly after selling her tabletop business and receiving continued requests from her design clients for luxury gifts, Janet founded BONNÂGE.com, a high-end online shopping experience providing carefully curated bespoke and corporate gifts in luxurious packaging.
As the entire world was reeling with excitement for the upcoming marriage of American actress Meghan Markle to Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, Janet received yet another invitation from the London publishing company for Linly Designs to be included in the prestigious publication Harry & Meghan – The Wedding Album; out of 34 companies from around the world, Janet was the only entrepreneur in Illinois and Linly Designs the only design firm in the world featured in this commemorative book.
In the spring of 2019, another great recognition came from Forbes, inviting Janet to join the exclusive Forbes Chicago Business Council, the foremost organization for successful entrepreneurs and business leaders in the Greater Chicago area.
While the Royal family along with the rest of the world waited in anticipation for the arrival of Price Harry and Meghan the Duchess of Sussex’s baby, another call came from London inviting Janet and her company to be featured in Harry & Meghan – Our Royal Babyalbum. Janet was interviewed by Britain’s award-winning and leading Royal correspondent Mr. Robert Jobson himself for a two-page feature delving into her unprecedented success.
When it comes to running a multi-million dollar retail & design firm while simultaneously building and growing her national luxury gift brand BONNÂGE.com, Janet strives for perfection in all aspects of her business. Her extensive experience, unmatched talent, and superlative drive to achieve the high goals she continues to set for herself, as well as those with whom she surrounds herself, distinguishes Janet from others in her industry. Janet is a visionary for not only building her businesses, but building her brand. Her tenacity as a CEO proves that with enough passion, dedication and leadership, all women can achieve anything they set their minds to.
“I strongly believe that a great leader is only as good as the team that he or she has created to surround themselves with.”
