The superlative for the most expensive condo building in Buffalo, New York now goes to the $85 million Avant project, located in the old Dulski Federal Building at 200 Delaware. The Buffalo News reported that the average asking price of $777,000 beats out the three condos that sold for just more than $500,000 in 2008. In Erie and Niagara counties, less than one percent of all dwellings in 2008 sold for more than $500,000. The priciest property in the building has a listing price of $1.73 million. The 28 units in the 15-story building have floor-to-ceiling windows, Viking ranges, granite countertops and other high end finishes.

“We realize these are the highest-priced condos Buffalo has ever seen, but we’re very confident there is a market for them,” said Michael J. Montante, Vice President of Uniland Development Co. of Amherst.

The project is a mixed-use building, also featuring office suites, a restaurant, and an Embassy Suites hotel.
